The prompt for today’s haiku is “cutting the grass.” As you will see, I use the actual phrase in my haiku.

cutting the grass
a far-off memory
winter rye

I also wrote a different sort of haiku:

big bluestem
dreaming
in technicolor

Tomorrow’s prompt is very specific: “wrapped in a quilt, watching a meteor shower.”

I’d like to share two haiku from my students. They enjoyed the “taco” prompt and wrote these:

unknown
the luxury
of biting a taco
– Almila Dukel

disappointment
in melting snow
a soggy taco.

      🌮
-Shana and Huck Tritsch (a mother-son collaboration)

Enjoy the day!
